Tarpon Woods
Tarpon Woods is mainly a golf course community in the heart of East Lake. Set among beautiful large trees, Tarpon Woods consists of many neatly manicured single family homes, some in gated communities, condominiums, duplexes, patio homes, and newer townhomes with garages. These homes were built in the 1980s thru the late 1990s, while some were built in the 2000s. Each subdivision has its own unique design and style. There are small lakes scattered throughout this community that make a nice backdrop to many of the properties. The large established trees provide shade from the Florida sunshine while adding beauty and character to each home. Most homes feature 2-car garages, split floor plans ranging from small to large, and relaxing swimming pools. You can also find large estates within this community. Truly, there's a home for just about every Buyer's wish in Tarpon Woods.
This community also contains its own golf course: The Tarpon Woods Country Club. This 18-hole course is available on a daily basis and is a local favorite for many golfers. If you enjoy other outdoor activities, East Lake is the place to be! The Pinellas Trail runs throughout Pinellas County and is a great place to walk, bike, or run. The YMCA of North Pinellas has a newer facility with a fitness center and junior Olympic size swimming pool. And just across the street from Tarpon Woods is the John Chestnut Sr. Park. This county park has a boat ramp leading to beautiful Lake Tarpon, picnic shelters, a large children's playground, and athletic fields. It's a great place to bring the entire family.
